Frequently Asked Questions
01. What is the cost and do you take my insurance?
The cost for a 55-minute session is $160 for individual and couples therapy. A 90-minute group therapy session is $65. Many clients use their insurance and would then be responsible to pay for any deductible and their co-pay. I take the following insurance: Aetna, Premera (Blue Cross), Regence, First Choice and LifeWise. If you want to use your insurance but I am not a provider for that insurance company, I would be considered an out-of-networker doctor on your plan. You would pay me directly and then I would give you a Superbill for you to send into your insurance company. Your insurance company would then reimburse you directly for a portion of the session cost.
02. How long will I be in therapy?
At first, weekly sessions are the best way to start so that we can develop a relationship and get to helping you work on the reason you came into therapy. Some clients can see improvement and change happening in 10-16 sessions, while others may need more time and prefer to continue ongoing sessions for up to a year or more. You get to decide what works for you. Some clients choose to move to bi-weekly sessions or once monthly to maintain progress or as a way to continue dealing with the ongoing challenges of life.
